When we bought our house, it looked really ugly. Mom and Dad paid cash for it, but it needed a LOT of work. It still does, but at least the outside looks really pretty now.
We got a new roof put on because the old one was rusty and ugly. And we finally got the place painted. It took a year to get it done, because we got here too late last year and the weather turned cold before the painters could finish. But there it is.
I used to call it "Dump House," but now it's not so bad. Dad says a couple of the neighbors told him how nice it looked. I agree!
We picked the colors based on the Cascadia flag.
Cascadia is something like an environmental region, and Idaho is part of it. Dad's been interested in the Cascadia movement for I think as long as I've been alive.
We still have a lot to do inside the house, and I'm going to help Mom with it over the fall and winter. Then next spring, we get to work on the yard and the out-buildings. Yay!
